An unfinished space is altered into a warm, inviting family
area with neutral colors and durable materials. Designed with family living
in mind, it features hardwood accents, Berber carpeting and recessed lighting.
A small home office area, featuring contemporary designs and a bright,
inviting bathroom complete this take on modern suburbia. The entry door
was replaced and hardwood flooring was placed at the entry foyer to both
enhance the appearance and allow for easy cleaning.

We updated an older basement and gave it an elegant, livable
flair. The before picture shows the fireplace hidden behind a mass of muted
walls
and outdated wood paneling. The after picture shows a fresh open space
with built-in bookshelves to help with organization; a family-friendly
natural color gives the room depth. The fireplace was shifted and a window
was installed to take advantage of the natural light. The fireplace was
then updated with natural stone tiles and a stark white mantel to play
off the darker colored walls for a more dramatic effect. The mini kitchenette
was modernized with an all-in-one unit that assists with space utilization
and aesthetics. |
